What we Do

Landwise Excavation is a locally owned and operated company based out of PEI, serving clients across Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick.

With a full fleet of heavy equipment — including excavators, dozers, dump trucks, skid steers, and float service — we handle everything from land clearing and grading to hauling, driveway builds, and full-site prep. Whether it’s a large rural property or a tight residential job, we show up ready to work and get it done right.

Who We Are

Landwise is led by Kane Johnston — born and raised in Kinkora, PEI. After spending eight years out west operating heavy equipment on some of Canada’s toughest terrain, he returned home to start the business he always dreamed of: Landwise Excavation.

Kane is a hands-on owner-operator who believes in honest work, reliable service, and doing the job right the first time. You’ll find him on-site, in the seat, and taking pride in every project — from the smallest gravel delivery to full-scale development.
